In a statement to the public, Hon. Moses Jn. Baptiste, Minister for Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs, underscored the significant contributions made by Saint Lucia’s seniors and called for greater awareness of the challenges they face, particularly during times of crisis. "Our seniors are not mere recipients of care; they are active participants in the ongoing story of our shared humanity. According to the Health Minister, "Our seniors are particularly vulnerable during natural disasters, and as a society, we must ensure they are well-prepared and cared for during these challenging times. We are urging everyone to engage older persons in disaster preparedness discussions and to strengthen community networks that ensure their safety and well-being,” Minister Jn. Baptiste emphasized.
